Vitamin B12 (cobalamin)
Vitamin B12 (cobalamin) is a water-soluble vitamin necessary
for the synthesis of red blood cells and of DNA, and for
the maintenance of the nervous system. It is found primarily
in meat, dairy products and eggs.
Vitamin C
Vitamin C is needed for the synthesis of collagen, the protein
of connective tissue, and also plays an important role in the
synthesis of neurotransmitters, steroid hormones and carnitine.
Vitamin C also enhances iron bioavailability. As an antioxidant,
it protects fat-soluble vitamins and other fatty substances
from oxidation, and it combats free radicals.

Vitamin D
Vitamin D is a fat-soluble vitamin that plays an important role
in the maintenance of an intact skeleton.
Vitamin E (Alpha-tocopherol)
Vitamin E (Alpha-tocopherol) is a fat-soluble vitamin and acts
as a powerful antioxidant. Antioxidants act by protecting body
cells against the effects of free radicals, which can damage cells
and may contribute to the development of cardiovascular disease
and cancer.
Vitamin K
Vitamin K is a fat-soluble vitamin essential for the clotting of
blood. The possible relationship between low vitamin K intake
and bone fractures (osteoporosis) has attracted the interest of
the scientific community.
Folate
Folate is a water-soluble B vitamin that occurs naturally in
foods such as leafy greens, dry beans, cereals and grains and
some fruits and vegetables. Folate is essential in the human
diet. It is an important cofactor in the synthesis of DNA and
RNA of dividing cells, particularly during pregnancy and infancy
when there is an increase in cell division and growth.
Biotin
Biotin is a water-soluble B vitamin, essential for the activity
of many enzyme systems.
Pantothenic acid (vitamin B5)
Pantothenic acid (vitamin B5) is a water-soluble vitamin. It is
needed to form coenzyme-A (CoA), and is critical in the metabolism
and synthesis of carbohydrates, proteins, and fats.
